Urban Studio Featured in Toronto Life

A Spotlight on Modern Toronto Living

We are proud to share that Urban Studio was recently featured in Toronto Life. The feature highlights a striking Midtown Toronto home designed and built by our team at Urban Studio, showcasing the level of craftsmanship, architectural clarity, and thoughtful design that define our work.

It is an honour to see an Urban Studio project recognized by one of Toronto’s most respected publications, alongside some of the city’s most distinctive residential architecture.

Highlights from the Toronto Life Feature

According to Toronto Life, the home stands out for its bold yet refined architectural language. The exterior was described as a blend of “accordion meets cathedral,” a reflection of the project’s sculptural façade and modern expression.

Inside, the home is defined by soaring ceilings, six strategically placed skylights, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and an abundance of natural light. Rich material choices such as solid white-oak millwork, a floating mono-stringer staircase, and clean Scandinavian- and Japanese-inspired detailing contribute to what the publication described as a “museum-like” interior experience.

The article also highlights the home’s smart-home integration and contemporary luxury finishes, from high-end kitchen appliances to carefully planned storage, circulation, and spatial flow. These elements are not decorative alone — they represent Urban Studio’s holistic design-build approach, where aesthetics and functionality are developed together from the outset.

What This Project Represents for Toronto Homeowners

Booking Home Renovation and Addition Projects for 2026

With growing demand and recognition from publications like Toronto Life, Urban Studio is now beginning to book renovation, addition, and custom home projects for Spring 2026.

Early planning is especially beneficial for projects such as single-floor renovations, home additions, and full custom builds, where design development, permits, and engineering coordination require careful sequencing and time. Beginning the process now allows for refined layouts, smoother approvals, and well-planned construction timelines.

If you’re considering a project in the coming year — whether it’s a single-floor renovation, a major renovation, or a new custom home — now is the ideal time to start the conversation.
